CES is underway and the company behind the Pebble smartwatch today announced the next upgrade: the Pebble Steel

More durable than its predecessor, the Pebble Steel boasts stainless steel and Corning Gorilla Glass (scratches on the watch face was a frequent complaint for the original Pebble).  The Steel is waterproof (rated at 5ATM) and has 5-7 day battery life. It comes with both metal and leather straps, is fully compatible with existing Pebble apps, and is expected to ship by the end of the month.  It’s pricier than the original though: the Pebble Steel will set you back $249.
