Design

I really like the modern design of this desk lamp (model TT-DL056)! It features a brushed aluminum finish on the lamp’s base and arms, as well as fabric accent pieces.

The base also has a good bit of weight to it, making it feel stable and sturdy on my desk. I’ve found the lamp can be positioned further to the side than my other LED desk lamp, allowing me to light my desk further away from the base.

Performance

The lamp itself is aesthetically pleasing, and so is the light output. You can adjust the temperature of the light with 5 settings between warm white to cool white. There is also a “slider” to get the brightness to just the level you like it.

The LEDs are covered by a translucent cover to help protect your eyes if you were to stare directly at the light. I have not noticed any “flicker” from the LEDs and have found the light to be pleasing to the eyes.

One thing to note: if the lamp is “on” and the power is interrupted, the light will be “off” when power is restored. Therefore, it will not work with smart outlets. Unfortunately, the “favorite” setting is also lost if the power is interrupted.

Features

Warm or Cool Light: You can adjust the temperature of the light between White, Cool White, Natural, Yellow and Warm Yellow. If you’re like me and you like the warm light of an incandescent light, you can easily achieve that with the touch controls.
Memory function: Once you achieve your ideal temperature and brightness settings, you can save it as a “favorite” by holding your find on the heart touch control until it flashes. You can then quickly get back to it by tapping the heart touch control.
USB charging port: There is a charging port located on the back of the unit, which is a little less convenient than if it was located on the side or on the front. The charging port can output up to 5V 2A, which means it can support tablets such as the iPad.
Timer function: Tapping the clock icon touch control will start a countdown from 60 minutes, after which the light will automatically turn off.
