The SoundPEATS CC3 Pro earbuds continue SoundPEATS’ line of clip-on, open-ear headphones. This particular model features a liquid silicone, black finish with plenty of flex with their memory steel wire for fitting different-size ears. They’re very lightweight at only 5.5g per earbud, and I’ve found them very comfortable even after wearing them for a couple of hours.

The CC3 Pro earbuds sit outside your ear canal so you can still hear what is going on around you, which is important to me when I’m walking or running outside and need to be aware of traffic (or if a neighbor says “hi”).
Each earbud has a physical button which I prefer over touch controls as they’re easier to find and provide tactile feedback when pressed.
When returning the earbuds to their charging case, you can place them in either the left or right spot and they’ll automatically adapt. However, you do need to pay attention to which side of each earbud contains the charging pins as it’s easy to place the earbud into the case backwards.
Performance
The SoundPEATS CC3 Pro earbuds feature a dual-driver audio system that delivers great-sounding music and even ample bass, which is something not all open-air earbuds can accomplish. Typically, you need that tight seal from rubber tips to achieve the best bass, but CC3 Pro still deliver low frequencies very well without blocking your ears. I’ve found the music to sound great whether listening to rock or pop, and they’re also great for listening to podcasts on my walks.

Given the design, these earbuds do not offer any type of noise cancellation, which is expected as these are meant to allow you to hear your surroundings.
If you have an Android phone that offers LDAC, you can take advantage of the higher quality audio protocol with the CC3 Pro. Sorry iPhone users, but LDAC is not supported on your phones at this time.
Call Quality
The earbuds provide AI-enhanced noise cancellation for the microphones, which helps them prevent picking up background sounds while you’re on a call. I tested these with a white noise machine nearby and found that they did indeed effectively eliminated the white noise while using the microphone.

SOUNDPEATS CC3 Pro vs PearlClip Pro
The CC3 Pro represents a significant upgrade over the PearlClip Pro in several key areas.
| CC3 Pro | PearlClip Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Controls | Physical Buttons | Touch Controls |
| Drivers | 12mm Dynamic + 9mm Piezo | 12mm Dynamic Driver |
| Bluetooth Version | Bluetooth 6.0 | Bluetooth 6.0 |

SOUNDPEATS CC3 Pro vs UU2
The CC3 Pro also improves upon the UU2 in important ways.
| CC3 Pro | UU2 | |

| Drivers | 12mm Dynamic + 9mm Piezo | 12mm Dual-Magnet Dynamic |
| Bluetooth Version | Bluetooth 6.0 | Bluetooth 6.0 |

While the UU2 is more affordable, the CC3 Pro’s dual-driver audio system delivers a more detailed and layered sound. The improved IPX6 water resistance provides better protection during workouts, and the wireless charging adds convenience. The slightly longer total battery life (44h vs 42h) and faster charging speed are nice bonuses that justify the price difference.
SOUNDPEATS CC3 Pro vs Clip1
At a similar price point as the CC3 Pro, the Clip1 offers some competing features.
| CC3 Pro | Clip1 | |
|---|---|---|
| Controls | Physical Buttons | Touch Controls |

| Bluetooth Version | Bluetooth 6.0 | Bluetooth 5.4 |
