The SOUNDPEATS Air6 HS earbuds have a shiny black exterior with a dark metallic-style accent running down the stem. The stem is shorter than previous iterations of SOUNDPEATS’ semi-in-ear style earbuds.
The charging case has a matte black exterior with a single LED on the front and a USB-C charging port on the bottom. On the back is a subtle SOUNDPEATS logo.
Each earbud is very lightweight at only 4 grams. They feel comfortable yet secure in my ears even after long listening sessions.

Performance
If you have a compatible phone, the SOUNDPEATS Air6 HS earbuds provide high bandwidth sound quality by supporting the LDAC wireless protocol. Unfortunately, this isn’t currently supported by iPhones.
SOUNDPEATS notes that the 13mm PU bio-composite driver in the Air6 HS earbuds provides smooth, balanced sound. This is generally true, but I’ve noticed that at times, the earbuds tend to emphasize the higher frequencies. Using the app, you can make adjustments to the equalizer, and I found the “Bass Boost” EQ was effective at greatly enhancing the lows. Still, the highs can still sometimes seem to slightly overpower the middle and low frequencies. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and some people may actually prefer this, especially when listening to podcasts. There is an additional “Dynamic EQ” option in the app that can also enhance bass, so you may need to play around with the many options to see what you like.

There is also a Spatial Audio option available in the app that provides some separation between the instruments and vocals. It’s a matter of preference; I like it for some music like pop, but usually keep it off for rock.
The Air6 HS earbuds support multipoint connections, so you can pair them with both your phone and your laptop at the same time. This way, you don’t need to first disconnect your earbuds from one device before using the other device.
Call Performance
The SOUNDPEATS Air6 HS have a 2 mic Environmental Noise Cancellation function that helps improve calls (for the person you’re calling) by filtering out background noise around you. I found this was effective for low frequencies hums around you (and white noise!), but less effective for higher frequencies. Below are some sample recordings.
SOUNDPEATS Air6 HS Battery Life
Each earbud can last up to 9 hours on a single charge and up to 45 hours total with the charging case (which provides up to 4 recharges). SOUNDPEATS notes that a quick 10 minute charge can provide up to 3 hours of playback. Compared to the previous SOUNDPEATS Air5 earbuds, the Air6 HS earbuds get about 15 additional hours of total battery life.

Our Verdict
The SOUNDPEATS Air6 HS earbuds feature very good sound with LDAC support and plenty of adjustable EQ settings. The 2-mic ENC is effective for clear calls, and the earbuds offer up to 9 hours of playback per charge. Combined with the charging case, they provide a total of 45 hours of playback, making them a cost-effective alternative to Apple AirPods.
