It seems like everyone is screaming “look at me, look at me!” before Apple’s press event on September 9th, including Sony as they unveil their “Smartband Talk” tracker and smartwatch.

Costing roughly $210, the Smartband Talk uses an e-ink display (like your Kindle) to display your steps, and also has a microphone and speaker built in which enables you to take calls.  The display is also uniquely curved to better conform to your wrist.

The smartwatch is also waterproof so you don’t need to worry about it getting ruined in the shower or if you get caught outside in the rain.  The device syncs to your phone and populates your Sony LifeLog diary to show what you’ve done over time.  Look for it to go on sale by year’s end.
