Smartphone and tablets and speakers, oh my! Keep all of your gadgets charged and ready with this 5-port USB charger from dodocool.
Performance
The dodocool can provide a 2.4 amp charge on any one of its 5 ports. It can only output a total of 8 amps at once, so if all ports were to be in use at the same time, those 8 amps would be divided across 5 ports, resulting in a 1.6 amp per port charge. This situation would only affect you if you were to, say, charge 5 iPads at the same time. And they would still charge, just not as fast as they would if they were each receiving 2.4 amps.
For the average family charging a mixture of devices — like 3 smartphones requiring 1 amp each and 2 tablets requiring 2 amps each — this charger would still perform great and provide a high speed charge.
Design
The dodocool 5-port charger is very compact and takes up very little space on a countertop or end table. You could even bring it along with you for travel. The included 5-foot power cable even comes with a Velcro strap to tie up the excess.

Features
Each of the 5 ports is “smart,” meaning that it has the proper protocols for providing a 2 amp charge to a majority of the Apple and Android devices on the market today. It can also charge other items, such as Bluetooth speakers, at a standard 1 amp charge.
However, there are no Quick Charge or USB-C ports on this particular charger.
Safety
This is one of the few chargers I’ve seen with a UL certification printed on it, which I traced back to the UL database. Kudos to dodocool!
There are also safety mechanisms built-in to prevent over-current and short-circuit situations. The unit comes with an 18-month warranty should you encounter any issues.
Our Verdict
The dodocool 5-port charger is great for families (or gadget lovers) who need to charge a mixture of devices. Any of the 5-ports can provide a 2 amp charge to a tablet or a standard 1 amp charge to other devices such as speakers. It's also one of the few 5-port chargers I've seen with a UL certification.
