We all know that Black Friday and Cyber Monday are great ways to save on awesome gadgets and technology. However, with these 3 tips, you can save even more and become a Christmas shopping pro!

Tip 1: Click Through a Cash-Back Site First

You can save an additions 1%-10% just by visiting a website like TopCashBack or Ebates first! First, head to the cash back site’s website to register for the service. You’ll then see a list of participating merchants. Just follow the link and your purchase will be tracked.

The cash-back amount will go into a bucket and you must earn a certain threshold (like $5) before you can redeem your cash back. Still, it’s better than not saving, right?

Bonus tip: Use a cash-back site to place an order for stores that off in-store pickup! You get the immediacy of a brick-and-mortar store while still saving online!

Tip 2: Search for internet coupons

It seems like every checkout page has a “promo code” box you feel guilty leaving blank. So fill it in! Before placing an order, check out RetailMeNot for any applicable coupon codes first.

We also have some great coupon codes here on Technically Well! Just check out our homepage and scroll to the “Deals” section.

Also, check out the browser extension Honey. It can test any applicable coupon codes automatically and show you which ones get the best price!

Tip 3: Check Price History and Comparisons

Just because a deal is labeled “Black Friday” or “Cyber Monday” doesn’t mean it is actually the lowest the price has ever been. When shopping Amazon, be sure to check CamelCamelCamel to see the price history for any given item. Be sure you’re getting the lowest price and see how the prices trend over the course of a year. You can also set alerts for when the price hits a certain amount.

Also, check out the browser extension PriceBlink. It can automatically compare the price of the item you’re visiting with several other merchants at the same time.

Now you know enough to be a saving pro! Enjoy the great savings that only come once per year!
